    Hi seniors and families,

Seniors, thank you for taking the time to vote for the commencement ceremony option you prefer.  The overwhelming majority of students (77.8%) voted for an in-person ceremony in July (see the screenshot of survey results attached).  Therefore, we will plan for a commencement ceremony on the WHS football field on Wednesday, July 15 at 7:00 PM (rain make-up date will be Thursday, July 16 at 7:00 PM).  A weekday was selected for the ceremony to avoid weekends and the potential for people to be out of town.  Additionally, the ceremony will take place in the evening to accommodate those who might be working during the day and to avoid the midday heat.

As a reminder, and as was explained in the survey, this event taking place will be completely dependent on whether or not government orders/social distancing guidelines in place on the day of the ceremony allow for such a gathering.

As we plan for this event, specific details will be emailed home to seniors and their families.   We look forward to seeing you walk across the stage in July!

    Take care,

    Steve Delp
